WHAT CAN WE SAY ABOUT US?

The Rua do Almada, in the baixa of Porto, has seen many eminent figures in the city's history pass through it over the years. But none has left a mark as strong as Camilo Castelo Branco. At number 378 of the Rua do Almada, Camilo could see Ana Plácido, his beloved, appearing on the balcony, whose relationship he immortalized in the celebrated "Love of Perdition". The story is famous and has been engraved in the collective memory of the Invicta: the passionate relationship between Camilo and Ana was also an adulterous one, condemned by the society of the time, made up of encounters and missed encounters in the Rua do Almada, at the passage by number 378. In the same building, today stands the Camilo restaurant - a tribute to the space that saw the birth of one of the most celebrated passions in the history of Portuguese literature, and which intends to pay tribute to the cultural legacy of the novelist and the city of Porto. The restaurant revives the memories of the two characters in encounters and missed encounters between flavors and textures - the new protagonists of this story that took place in the same street, almost two centuries later.
